The Carpenter Community BancFund was formed to invest private equity capital that, when partnered with Carpenter’s banking expertise and talented bank management teams, works to build investor value by supporting America’s community banking franchises.
The Carpenter Community BancFund manages committed equity capital on behalf of public pension funds, institutional investors and high net worth individuals. The private equity fund is a registered bank holding company and makes control investments in community banks with an emphasis on banks with total assets up to $5.0 billion. Carpenter Community BancFund currently owns controlling positions in five banks with an aggregate asset base of more than $2.0 billion.
The fund’s five managing partners and senior staff have a breadth of banking experience and knowledge that sets Carpenter apart. This experience, together with our capital base, platform, and ability to make control investments, is the cornerstone of our strategic and competitive advantage.
