Investment Strategy
The Carpenter Community BancFund is a private equity fund and bank holding company that invests primarily in the stabilization, support and growth of community banking franchises. We focus on recapitalization and growth equity investments in banks with total assets up to $5 billion.
We seek to invest in banking franchises with the following characteristics:
- Strong management
- Well defined strategy in specific markets
- Revenue generated by the core competencies of community banks
- Strong core funding, drawn primarily from the target markets
- Business model driven by relationship banking
Partnering with our management teams and Boards of Directors, we seek to develop fully robust banks that can stand on their own. Through our portfolio management process, we provide additional significant management strength from the holding company level.
