Maryam Hamzeh

Ms. Hamzeh, Executive Vice President of Carpenter & Company, joined the company in 1997.

Ms. Hamzeh serves as Chief Risk Officer for Carpenter Community BancFunds, with responsibility for oversight of risk management and performance analytics relating to the BancFunds and its banks. She also manages the oversight of the resolution of distressed assets in the Fund’s portfolio banks and liquidating entities. Previously, Ms. Hamzeh served as a senior consultant on the firm’s banking advisory practice. In that capacity, she has overseen strategic and business planning assignments for numerous community banks.

Prior to joining Carpenter & Company, Ms. Hamzeh was associated for seven years as an officer and credit analyst at First Interstate Bank of California. She reviewed and analyzed credit reports and loan approval documentation throughout the loan review process for major corporate banking credits. At First Interstate, she was promoted to the position of Vice President and Team Leader in the Corporate Banking Department.

Ms. Hamzeh obtained a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, California. She earned an undergraduate degree in Econometrics from the University of Nanterre in Paris, France. She serves as a director of SLB Asset Management and CGB Asset Management.
