Ed Carpenter is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Carpenter & Company, a firm he founded in 1974. With over five decades of leadership in the financial services industry, Mr. Carpenter has guided the firm through hundreds of successful bank advisory, investment, and consulting engagements.
Under his direction, Carpenter & Company has:
- Advised on numerous bank mergers and acquisitions,
- Led billions of dollars in bank capitalization assignments,
- Served as principal and manager of a $4.9 billion bank holding company, and
- Acted as lead advisor to over 500 new banks during their de novo banking formation and chartering processes.
Mr. Carpenter has served on the boards of numerous banks and companies across the United States, most recently as Chairman of the Board of Pacific Mercantile Bank in Costa Mesa, California. He currently serves as Associate Chairman of the Board of Directors for the International Medical Corps, a global humanitarian organization that has delivered more than $4.2 billion in aid worldwide.
A member of the World Presidents Organization (WPO), Mr. Carpenter is a recognized voice in the banking industry. He has delivered presentations to leading professional organizations including the California Bankers Association, Western Independent Bankers, American Bankers Association, Young Presidents Organization (YPO), World Presidents Organization, and the National Association of Certified Financial Planners.
